The past week in summary.

I'm blogging from my iPhone now that I've some time. Was free to go home since the hotel had some water system glitch since the morning. I wanted to get water & realized there were no water dispenser refills too.

The sad life.

Hence, I'm on my way to Jase's office where I'm going to bum e rest of e day away.

Anyhow, I had an awesome 25th birthday. Picnic with e friends on a lovely weekend afternoon, dinner with the bf at Ion 55, Sky Bar & Salt Grill (the place for special occasions only) and had e entire week off since I was clearing leave.

The weekend before, the girls & I spent a lovely Saturday afternoon at Tanjong Beach. It has been 12 years of friendship and I'm glad I still have them. (:

So here goes...

Anyways, what you just saw above is my wedding planning shelf. I've got all the latest bridal magazines and scrapbook in place.

Honestly, I cant wait!

Wedding Prep

It has been more than 3 months since I last blogged and so much has happened since then...

- The hotel officially closed for renovation on 16 April 2012.
- I was seconded to the corporate sales office to assist with MICE sales.
- I'm now a quarter century old as of 25 June.
- Jase & I have booked our bridal package with Le Grand Wedding, actual day photography/ videography with Mojo Ideas

and most recently...

We booked our wedding solemnisation & reception with Shangri-La, Rasa Sentosa Resort!

The last of CNY 2012 and post-CNY.

A lot of you probably don't know that there are 3 Pan Pacific properties in Singapore: Pan Pacific Singapore (Marina), Pan Pacific Serviced Suites and Pan Pacific Orchard. The latter is just right behind Palais Renaissance and I absolutely love the buffet there.

You don't get the kind of variety like at Shangri La's The Line. But this is seriously quality over quantity.

It's 11.20pm and I need to wake up really early tomorrow morning. I haven't got much words in my blog posts now because 1) too drained after work on the weekdays to think 2) spent too much time nua-ing over the weekends and become too lazy to think.

Here's a new pair of glasses I got just before CNY and me with no make-up.

At the age of 25 (almost), I'm really becoming more diligent with the daily step-by-step facial care regime.

CNY 2012

Pre-CNY.
Spent a short afternoon in Chinatown (with absolutely no intention to buy anything). I guess we just wanted to soak up the CNY spirit.

P.S. Ditched my Blackberry for the Apple just a couple of days before CNY. Absolutely loving it! Which explains why there are only iPhone pictures right after this line. Haha.

Reunion Dinners.
I said 'dinners' because I had my first round at J's place and Round 2 at my place. Awesome food much! It was also my dad's birthday the same night so I ordered a cake from Bakerzin and we had it wayyy later that night.

CNY Day 1.
I've to say that CNY visiting is less exciting as I grew older. You see why?
1. My dad's siblings are way older and they've started the trend of going on a holiday over the CNY holiday.
2. My paternal family's so huge, I've tons of cousins, nieces and nephews of which I'm not surprised some of them I've never met. And of course, we're not close because the family's so EXTENDEDDDDDD.
3. My mum's siblings are living in Indonesia (she's Indonesian by birth btw).

P.S. All the above points makes it ever harder to plan the expected no. of tables for the wedding. zzzzzZzZzzZ.

CNY Day 2.

And I just realised we're both wearing items we got from the same place over both days. Ha.

2012, so far...

Countdown to 2012 at Pan Pacific Singapore!
It would have been our off day but the team volunteered our help to first, pump the balloons and second, help out with ushering during the countdown party. Turned out to be awesome fun especially when we watched the balloon drop when the clock stroke 12.

The theme was 'Silver and Black' and I'm sure you can tell from the pictures...

12 January, J baby turned 29.
I was seriously contemplating which boutique hotel I should book for his birthday this year. Finally decided on the club hotel because I was inspired by the black and white theme. But wells, I kinda wished I had booked Scarlet Hotel or somewhere else instead.

Visit Ying Yang Rooftop bar for the first time and we decided to go bar-hopping along Ann Siang and Club Street. We had a couple of mojitos, beers and wines before we ended the night. The places we went to:

Ying Yang Rooftop bar at the club hotel, Ann Siang Hill
83 at Club Street
La Cicala at Club Street
P.S. Cafe at Ann Siang Hill

Love the cheap beer at 83 during Happy Hour and the moscato (my favourite wine) at P.S. Cafe. That sums up the boy's birthday weekend and the next year, it'll be his big 3-0.

Party at Zouk/ Phuture.
It has been like what, over a year since I last visited Zouk? The crowd's so young these days, we feel like old hags. It seriously felt like the good old days when we had beers and shots and danced through till 4am.

Good times...
